On Sunday 13th March 2011, 3 of Safeguard’s employees took part in a charity abseil, though this was not just any abseil; it was 469 foot, 35 storeys forward facing abseil off the top of Guy’s Hospital Tower in London. James Sheehan, Barry Hosegood and Jo Sheehan raised over £300.00 for the ‘Help for Heroes’ charity. We are glad to report they all survived and are back at work providing an excellent pest control service as usual.

Numerous newspapers reported today of a fox that was captured at the top of the Shard building in London. The fox spent two weeks running free and surviving on scraps of food left by builders at the 288 metre Shard building by London Bridge, London. Apparently the fox was trapped by pest controllers at the top of the 72nd floor. The Shard is set to become Europe’s biggest building once its completed.
