Safeguard are considered to be at the forefront of any latest developments within the pest control industry, not just from a product development perspective, but also new or old techniques that proofs to be the most effective when controlling any insect or rodent infestation.
Being established for over 25 years now, we are fortunate to have developed long term relationships with suppliers and manufacturers who continuously inform us of any new “break troughs”. Many of these suppliers will also use our expertise within the industry to carry out tests and research for them on any new products or systems before they become available to the rest of the market.
Apart from this, Safeguard also constantly develops our own techniques and systems we provide to ensure our clients receive the best possible solutions on the market. This has allowed us to implement significant improvements on sites over the years. Some changes small and others on a much larger scale, which includes things like:
Digital reporting by making use of a Digi Pen system. This allows us to instantly capture any findings, observations and recommendation digitally and immediately send that information over to our clients to action. This is all part of our Integrated Pest Management approach.
Physical Control Methods
Developing new physical control methods by designing what is called a “tunnel trap” whereby we fix conventional traps within a plastic “tunnel” and then strategically positioning it at the correct areas on site. This method as proven to catch mice on average 40% more than normal trapping systems.
Heat Treatment Technology
Safeguard is also testing new technology such as heat treatment to control insect infestations. This specialist treatment could also be used on rodent control, whereby heat methods are used to control the temperature within in a building or room and increase it to such heat that it will kill any infestation at any phase of its lifecycle. We would recommend this system for large scale works, but could also be used for smaller projects should it be required or be a preferred method by the client.
ECO Friendly Fly Killers
We also provide one of the most Eco-friendly electric fly killer units in the UK, if not the world. This low carbon energy EFK unit is just as effective as most units, but much more environmental friendly.
