St. Pancras International
Probably the biggest and certainly the most demanding, bird proofing job ever undertaken in the UK
– the newly redeveloped St Pancras station in London. Surveyor, Malcolm Stowell managed the
entire 40 month project.
Everything about the redevelopment and extension of St Pancras to be the permanent UK home of
Eurostar as part of the £6 billion high speed rail line project is spectacular. Centred on the
soaring 16.7 million cubic feet of William Barlow's Victorian masterpiece, the Sir Norman Foster
masterplan involved an £800 million transformation of one of London's favourite landmarks into a
new national icon.

Westfield Shopping Centre
Safeguard Pest Control have undertaken preventative pest control at the recently developed Westfield Shopping Centre, Shepherds Bush.
London 2012 Olympics

We not only carry out preventative pest control but also bird proofing services to the entire Great Ormond Street Hospital estate. Our relationship with the management and maintenance departments is of a very high standard.
The pest service is specifically designed for the hospital and its specific requirements.
Connect Plus (Dartford Bridge)
Connect Plus is a consortium comprising of Balfour Beatty, Skanska, Atkins and Egis Road Operation UK.
Safeguard is employed to provide a specialist Bird protection and Bird Faeces Cleaning service on the Dartford Bridge Crossing. We are required to carry out these cleaning works to allow vital maintenance to be completed by engineers. We ensure the gantry’s, walkways and pendal pits are kept free by clearing away fouling. This is an out of hours service.
Balfour Beatty / Carillion Joint Venture East London Line
We provide preventative pest control throughout this major construction project to all sites and bird proofing to bridges and stations. This includes out of hours working, working with engineers, TFL and surveyors.
Kier (Kings Cross Station)
Leading on from our success at St Pancras International we have now been awarded a contract for specialist cleaning and refurbishment works at Kings Cross mainline station. This forms part of the £400m transformation of King's Cross station.
A team of technicians will be working on the Main Train Shed Roof removing all existing netting, bird fouling and general debris from 32 struts, with the view of reinstating new proofing measures.
The Lewisham Hospital
We have been providing pest prevention pest control for Lewisham Hospital for over 15 years and have built up a very good relationship with their dedicated facilities department.
Safeguard look after both pest control services and bird prevention measures, internally and externally around the perimeters of the hospital grounds, which has resulted in pest free conditions.
London Fire Brigade
The London Fire Brigade is the largest fire and rescue service in the UK. We supply a wide range of services to over 100 stations in and around London including pest prevention measures and bird control and have done so since 1989.
Our quick response 365 days a year service has resulted in all their stations running smoothly with no downtimes.
